Abstract

In this paper, popular energy saving schemes for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) arestudied. There are many
challenges that limits network lifetime. High power consumption is one of the issues that reduces network lifetime.
The objective of this paper is to address the main factors that cause energy consumption and analyze their effects.
Performance, network efficiency and maximizing network lifetime are measured by simulation, analysis by
considering factors and comparison with network without considering these factors.
